Lisa Cruickshank

Lisa Cruickshank has coached mortgage brokers directly and she understands the unique pressures of building a business in one of Canada's most relationship-dependent industries. She knows what it means to generate consistent referral business. She understands the emotional weight of guiding clients through the largest financial decision of their lives in a highly regulated, competitive industry. And she knows what it takes to build a team that delivers that experience at the highest level consistently.

Her 35+ year career in financial services as an agency owner, a national business school leader, and a senior corporate executive, giving her a perspective that is rare: she has sat in the agents's chair across from clients, and the boardroom chair as a decision-maker, and she knows exactly what each one looks like from the other side.

She is a Gallup-Certified CliftonStrengths Coach, the 2016 Orléans Business Person of the Year, and a recipient of the Queen Elizabeth II Platinum Jubilee Award, the House of Commons Leading Women Award, and the Ontario 150 Community Builder Award. During the pandemic she facilitated $80,000 in grant funding directly to Orléans small businesses.

Her community roots run deep. She served on the Board of Directors of the Orléans Chamber of Commerce. She chaired the Board at Arts Network Ottawa, operating out of the Shenkman Arts Centre. She mentored small business owners through Invest Ottawa's Starter Company Plus program with a 100% grant success rate for the five businesses she mentored. And since the year she arrived in Orléans, she has volunteered with the Terry Fox Run committee - year after year, without exception.

She is a business leader, a community builder, a wife, and most importantly, a mom and grandma. She built The Consulting Office because after 35+ years in this business she has a lot to share - and she’s ready to bring it to your team.
